The Millard Group Celebrates 20 Years With A Fundraiser For Opiate Addiction

mcbThe Millard Group, founded by brothers Craig and Paul Millard, is celebrating our 20th year in business – and we invite you to join us for a party and support a great cause!

The Millard Group is a technology executive search firm that has called Middletown, CT our home for 20 years.  Over the years we have made a concerted effort to give back to the community that has given so much to us.  With the epidemic of heroin/opiate use hitting close to home for a member of our TMG family we decided we wanted to do something special, right here in our community – we are donating the net proceeds of our anniversary party to support prevention and education services in our community.

Join us for an extravaganza at La Boca on June 9th 2016 from 6pm to 10:30pm. Tickets for this fun filled event are $15 which will include a limitless taco bar and entertainment from the ever popular Michael Cleary Bandvoted the Best Jam Band in the CT Music Awards!

We are donating the net proceeds of the event to the Arthur and Edythe Director Family Fund for Rushford at the Community Foundation of Middlesex County. Why this Fund? Because Rushford works in our community every day to bring important prevention programs to our friends and neighbors – and the Director Family, in establishing this Fund to support the important prevention work of Rushford, encourages all of us to join them in supporting the important work of Rushford to make a positive impact in our community today – and forever!

The one problem they had, was finding a central location where they could meet to plan their activities, as well as socialize. They have been searching for the past year, and then they found us.

Pop Up Shop Artisan: Mystic Knotwork

La Boca Mexican Restaurant Middletown ConnecticutAt one point and time, we have all seen the “nautical knot bracelet”. This woven bracelet has been around for a long, long time. There is a good chance that the ones you have seen were made by Mystic Knotwork. La Boca Mexican is thrilled to have them for our Holiday Pop Up December 2nd. What’s really cool is that they have more than just bracelets. They also make door mats, keychains, home decorations, wine stoppers, and much more. Actually they have 48 woven and knotted products. I know this cuz I counted them all. Now throw in the multiple colors, and you literally have thousands of items to choose from! Every knot they sell is made right in Mystic, Connecticut. Their rope and cord is custom made for us to keep the authentic look.

Don’t forget, we will be having a $10 all you can eat buffet, as well as drink specials. Hours for the Holiday Pop Up Shop is 5:30 – 7:30!
